NO BRIEF CANDLE ~ Filmmaker Bios Producer/Director Claire Marie Panke's first documentary, A Chance to Grow (2000) had its broadcast premiere on The Discovery Channel, and also aired on National Geographic Television and other international venues on several continents.  A Chance to Grow won several awards, including a CINE Golden Eagle.  Claire has also made two short films.

In addition to filmmaking, Claire has worked as a writer, editor, and photographer, as well as a neonatal intensive care nurse and consultant for films, television and print ads.

In front of the camera, Claire served as the spokesperson for a national campaign to raise awareness of health care issues, appearing in nationally broadcast commercials, print and radio ads, and Congressional publications.

Sandrine Isambert has ten years' editing experience, working on a variety of documentaries.  Among these are films produced by the human rights organization Witness, including Rightful Place, Awaiting Tomorrow, Against the Tide of History: Landmines in Casamance, and Refugees: The Last Resort.  Sandrine also served as editor on Persons of Interest (Sundance, Rotterdam, Chicago, River Run, Human Rights Watch, Locarno, and Seattle Film Festivals), Tea & Justice, Western Sahara: The Story of Africa's Last Colony, and Arise: The Battle Over Affirmative Action.
Her ongoing work for NBC Networks (History Channel, A&E, Bravo, Discovery Channel, WNBC) includes editing documentaries, entertainment shows, promos and news stories.
